Noite de São Martinho

Our São Martinho Feast is on Saturday, November 14, 2009, starting at 6:30pm

The Menu consists of:

·        Soup

·        Salad

·        Spanish Style Cod Fish

·        Chicken with Rice

·        Vegetables

·        Dessert

·        Coffee

We will also be serving roasted chestnuts accompanied with wine. Like always we will be holding our annual home made wine contest. All the contestants who bring in 2 bottles of there home made wine will receive 1 free ticket to this event. We will also have music from our popular DJ Vindo from Ontario, Canada, to dance to. The admission price for this event is:

·        Adult Member $30

·        Adult Non-Members : $35

·        Members who are children: $15

·        Non-Members that are children: $20

 

 

Noite de Fados: Sexta-feira, dia 27 de Novembro:

(this will be his first time at Amigos)

Noite de Cantoria ao Desafio: Sexta-feira dia 4 de Dezembro:

Please pay attention to the radio around this time. The singers will be announced on the radio as well as the menu for the night. 

 

Christmas Feast:

Our Christmas feast will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009. The dinner will begin at 6:30pm. Our menu for the night will be:

·        Soup

·        Salad

·        Roasted potatos with meat

·        Dessert

·        Coffee

Beverages will be available during dinner. Music will be playing for all to dance too. There will be presents given out to children up to the age of 10 that have registered at Amigos before the 5th of December. Come celebrate Christmas with Amigos.

 

Inscriptions for candidacies to Presidential charges:

We will be displaying a list in the our informative chart in the Headquarters, for candidates..  The list will be displayed as of December 1st – 31st.  We encourage all of members, to look out for this and to contribute to one of our many charity events that our organization is involved with.

 

 

Festa de Passagem do Ano

The tickets for our New Years party will be sold at the São Martinho Feast The night starts off with cocktail hour at 6:00pm til 6:45pm followed by dinner. The menu for this night consists of:

·        Soup

·        Salad

·        Grilled Fish with shrimp

·        Roasted potatoes served with chicken breast and

·        Beverages served with dinner

·        Dessert

·        Champagne

Our live entertainment will be with Tony Borges until 2 o’clock in the morning. The prices for these tickets are the same as the previous 2 years:

·        Adult Member $60

·        Adult Non-Members : $70

·        Members who are children: $30

·        Non-Members that are children: $35

All Members who sell a table of 10 people will receive 1 free ticket!

 

The killing of the Pork/ The day of Kings:

Our traditional feast, the killing of the pork will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010. Dinner will be served at 6:30pm with the following menu:

·        Portuguese Soup

·        Pork Chops

·        Blood Sausage

·        Portuguese Sausage

·        Yams and sweet potatoes.

Drinks will be served with dinner.  We will have music to dance to, folk dancing; we will also be auctioning off the pig. Prices for this event will be:

·        Adult Member $25

·        Adult Non-Members : $30

·        Members who are children: $12

·        Non-Members that are children: $15

 

The General Assembly:

We encourage all of our member to be presents in this important General Assembly – for the fate of our organization. In this Assembly will be discussing the application scholarships. We will also be discussing the presidential charges for the year 2010-2012.Any active member that cannot be present can receive a ticket to vote in writing to our Secretaries after December 31st.
